Our Foundation Budget formula was written in 1993, and it does not reflect the current needs of our schools and students. It must be updated! We are asking the State House to not keep us in the past, but modernize our Foundation Budget formula and move us into the future. We can no longer function under an outdated and vintage formula. Our kids deserve modernization.
Join us in demanding the State House follow through on the recommendations of the Foundation Budget Review Commission and update the Foundation Budget formula. This popular piece of legislation passed unanimously in the state Senate and has a majority of support in the House. Our schools are stuck in the past and it’s time to update outdated Foundation Budget formula.
We cannot keep our students in the past. It’s time to prioritize our students and their futures now!
Dress up in your best 90s look and help us show how outdated the Foundation Budget formula is! Bring your favorite boombox, visors, skateboards, and flannel to show Speaker DeLeo and the House of Representatives that just like our fashion, the Foundation formula is outdated! We will have music our favorite 90s artists, posters and art inspired by the decade, and copies of the outdated Foundation Budget formula.
