This Month's line-up:
Headliner: Rafi Gonzalez
Rafi Gonzalez has quickly made a name for himself in the New England Comedy scene. In a few short years, Gonzalez has gone from daydreaming about comedy to performing on just about every major stage in the Northeast. With a background as the front man of a touring rock band, Rafi applies this same charisma and energy into his stand-up. Whether it’s a spot-on impression, hilarious observation or spontaneous audience interaction, Gonzalez’s act appeals to crowds of every age and background. His comfort on stage translates well to any and all venues. Colleges, comedy clubs, fundraisers. No stage opportunity is foreign to Gonzalez. Rafi performs regularly at Laugh Boston, COMIX Mohegan Sun, The Rhode Island Comedy Connection, The FunnyBone, New York City’s Dangerfields, and Nick’s Comedy Stop just to name a few. Gonzalez has performed in the Rogue Island Comedy Festival and won the 2017 Finger Lakes Comedy Festival.
More recently, Gonzalez has produced a series of comedy benefit shows, raising over $15,000 for his native Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria’s devastation.
Rafi has shared the stage with notable comedians like Pablo Francisco, Mark Normand, Jessimae Peluso, Gilbert Gottfried, TJ Miller, Mitch Fatel, and many more.
Kristin O’Brien one of the rising stars on the Boston area comedy scene! Kristin casually offers homespun advice and her own brand of observational humor with a homespun charm and a saucy wit. “Auntie Kristin” will make you laugh non-stop when you hear her views on marriage, divorce and dating. She performs at clubs and colleges all over New England and Texas.
Tricia Auld is a Boston comedian whose career started table-side at an “upscale” establishment. It was there that she honed her craft on unsuspecting patrons until a handful of guests were offended by a «performance». She was subsequently encouraged to resign. Since then, she has graced many bar tops, public restrooms, and any mirror she deems worthy. When Tricia is not busy getting fired, hosting events she wasn’t invited to, or performing splits on command, she’s busy doing the Lord's work: promoting single awareness. Her blog NeverBeenMoreSingle has received local recognition from unfulfilled businessmen, judgmental stay at home Moms and, of course, men who have penetrated her… and their current girlfriends.Tricia has opened up about her struggle to break into the Boston comedy scene in an interview which was recently featured in DigBoston.Auld has performed at popular comedy venues such as Nick's Comedy Stop, Dick's Comedy Den, The Middle East, Phoenix Landing, Davis Square Theater, Johnny Ds, The Burren, ImprovBoston, The Comedy Studio, The Cannery Music Hall, The Shaskeen Pub, The Comedy Connection, and Laugh Boston.
