Tuesday, April 17: Join us for special bat activities as we highlight National Bat Appreciation Day! Stop by MassWildlife’s table to learn about the nine species of bats found in Massachusetts, why bats are so important, some myths and facts about bats, threats to bats, conservation of bats, how to deal with bats in your home, and how you can help protect bats.

Aussie Aviary opens for the season during April school vacation week. Stroll among hundreds of brightly colored budgies in this engaging, interactive space. Purchase a seedstick and the birds may land right on it! Hours (weather permitting):

Don’t miss the Party for the Planet! Franklin Park Zoo will present a fun and engaging Earth Day celebration to raise awareness for the planet and all it has to offer! Learn how you can contribute to a healthy planet and preserve the Earth.
Festivities, held from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., include opportunities to meet the zookeepers, animal enrichment activities, and much more!
