Looking to get outside and explore during April school vacation week? Spend a memorable day with family and friends exploring Franklin Park Zoo. Celebrate spring as we learn all about the insects and animals that serve as pollinators and how their important work helps springtime flowers bloom.

Daily Zookeeper Chats
10:30 a.m.– Bat
11:00 a.m.– Bird's World
11:30 a.m.– Mystery animal encounter, Tropical Forest
1:30 p.m.– Lemur (Mon, Wed, Thurs, Friday) | Bat (Tuesday)
2:00 p.m.– Gorilla Forage Feed
2:30 p.m.– Emu
3:00 p.m. – Franklin Farm

-Special Events-
Tuesday, April 17: Join us for special bat activities as we highlight National Bat Appreciation Day! Stop by MassWildlife’s table to learn about the nine species of bats found in Massachusetts, why bats are so important, some myths and facts about bats, threats to bats, conservation of bats, how to deal with bats in your home, and how you can help protect bats.
Wednesday, April 18: Gather in the Hippo Theater for some wild tales from Big Joe the Storyteller, 2:00pm

-Aussie Aviary Opens for the Season-
Aussie Aviary opens for the season during April school vacation week. Stroll among hundreds of brightly colored budgies in this engaging, interactive space. Purchase a seedstick and the birds may land right on it! Hours (weather permitting):
-During April school vacation week, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
-After April school vacation week, weekends only, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
-Regular hours begin Memorial Day weekend, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. weekdays, and 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekends and holidays

-Join the Party for the Planet, April 21-
Don’t miss the Party for the Planet! Franklin Park Zoo will present a fun and engaging Earth Day celebration to raise awareness for the planet and all it has to offer! Learn how you can contribute to a healthy planet and preserve the Earth.

Festivities, held from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., include opportunities to meet the zookeepers, animal enrichment activities, and much more!
