Kick off the start of the spring season with us at Weir River Farm for our annual Sheep Shearing Festival! Our new flock of Suffolk sheep have arrived in the barnyard. Join us are we prepare them for the hot summer days with a nice fresh shearing and learn all about life as a sheep on the farm.
This year we are excited to host shearing demonstrations, sheep herding demonstrations, and spinning demonstrations. These will be fun and educational for kids and adults alike!
The sheep, goats, ponies, chickens, and pigs will greet you in the barnyard. Then, head off to challenge a friend in a potato sack race, create a sheep craft, get a farm “tattoo”, and more!
After all this fun, you’ll be sure to have worked up an appetite, enjoy a bite to eat from local food vendors Mom on the Go Grilled Cheese and Rolling Roost. Save room for dessert from Ben & Jerry's and enjoy a cold local brew from Zelus Brewery.
Parking is located at 140 Turkey Hill Lane in Hingham. Parking assistance will be on site to direct visitors, as this is a very popular festival at the farm.
