Join us as we screen clips and discuss «the General» aka «Moses» aka Ariminta Harriet Ross aka Harriet Tubman. A spectacular historic figure who led enslaved Africans to freedom, first from Maryland to Ohio and then back to Maryland to Canada.
A fugitive herself, this tiny lady was an enslaved African in Maryland, who after suffering the atrocities of slavery, physical harm and debilitating lifelong illness, escaped to freedom.
A remarkable feat unto itself, she later returned to American South to free more enslaved Africans in America. Learn of her Shero-ism and bravery and her life.
Join in on a discussion of Freedom and what is the price to pay for it.
