This fall True Colors OUT Youth Theater Troupe is developing a brand new theater performance titled Round and Round that looks at self-love from the viewpoint of LGBTQ+ youth and allies. This piece utilizes movement and text to tell stories that challenge and support the ability to love oneself, such as social systems, phobias, toxic relationships and mental illness, as well as overcoming difficulties through the use of self-care. The stories highlight how taking care of oneself looks different for everyone and how that individuality can both help and hinder self-love. At the end of the fall audiences will be able to see a staged rough draft of the piece to ask questions and offer feedback to the youth.
