This December, please join us to celebrate Channukah on Shabbat! Our fun filled evening will feature Honorable Menschen, Boston's premiere post-collegiate Jewish a cappella group, which has become a tradition for December at Havurah on the Hill. This year we will take the event up a notch with a Latke Bar and a game night, featuring such holiday favorites as dreidel, Outburst, Cards Against Humanity, and more…
Now imagine… All the latkes you could possibly eat, as many toppings to choose from, games, and a capella music in the air! We wouldn't want to celebrate Channukah any other way.
Schedule of Events:
6:30 PM – Wine and Appetizers
7:00 PM – Channukiah Candle Lighting and Shabbat Services
8:15 PM – Special Guests: Honorable Menschen
8:45 PM – Latke Bar and Games
Vilna and Havurah on the Hill will never turn anyone away for inability to pay. If you would like to attend but finances are of concern, please email Director of Communications and Community Outreach Lynne Krasker Schultz at [email protected]
Havurah on the Hill is a non-denominational, egalitarian minyan for Jews in their 20s and 30s in the Boston area. HOH meets at the Vilna Shul in Beacon Hill, one of the last remaining synagogues from the early 20th century wave of Jewish immigration and hosts monthly Kabbalat Shabbat services as well as other special holiday celebrations throughout the year.
Getting to the Vilna Shul:
Free validated parking is always available for Havurah on the Hill's monthly Shabbat celebrations at the Charles River Garage (165 Cambridge Street, Boston). Please note that this is NOT the above-ground Whole Foods lot, but the parking garage between the Whole Foods lot and the Au Bon Pain. Please bring your green ticket into the Vilna for a validation stamp. The Vilna Shul is also easily accessible by public transportation. Take the MBTA Red Line to Charles/MGH.
