A new play by Peter Sampieri*
Directed by Benny Sato Ambush**
Featuring Caitlyn Jones and Alexander Platt***
Stage Managed by Bobby Cius
It’s days before the opening of a one-woman adaptation of Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl. Kaitlyn (a black actor in her mid-twenties) and Michael (a white director in his mid-forties) who are close friends and collaborators find themselves at a crossroads when, during rehearsal, Kaitlyn questions some choice words in Michael's script. A conversation follows about race, who has the right to tell which stories, and what it means to be offended.
