Unwinding the Hips to Find Your Asana
with Jessica Pate
Saturday, September 16th
The word «asana» is usually associated with all of the physical poses, however the direct translation of «asana» is actually your «seat.» Traditionally, yogic postures were used as a preparation for seated meditation and were a preface to the other limbs of the yogic tradition.
In this workshop, you will take a full tour of the hips with a final destination of a meditation seat. Come clean out all the dusty corners that tend to congest the hips, legs, and low back which make seated meditation seem unbearable. This workshop will include a full physical practice followed by a brief guided meditation.
