Boston Center for the Arts and Bodega team up to present the first Boston Art Book Fair on October 20 through 22 in the Mills Gallery, Black Box Theatre and Martin Hall at Boston Center for the Arts. This curated, cutting edge event includes an eclectic mix of over 60 exhibitors, artists, and publishers with free admission on October 21 and 22, and a ticketed Preview Party on Friday, October 20.
Drawing on Boston’s rich heritage of printed matter and its thriving zine counter-culture and vibrant visual arts scene, the Boston Art Book Fair celebrates innovative fine art and academic publishers, independent artists, galleries, zine makers, antiquarian collectors and everyone in between.
The Friday night Preview Party features a first look at all exhibitors, pop-up performances, sets by local DJs, video screenings by 8-Ball Community, bar with complimentary drinks (up to 3 per ticket) sponsored by Sam Adams, bites by The Beehive and Foodies Market, and more! Workshops, panels, and presentations will be offered throughout the weekend, alongside music and performance happenings.
Exhibitors include Phaidon, D.A.P., MIT Press, Aperture, Anthology Editions, Benjamin Ogilvy Projects, Oranbeg Press, Hassla, Books for All, Ain't Bad magazine, and many, many more.
