Kick off the holiday season with Peabody Main Streets! We have an afternoon of fun-filled activities for the whole family.
All aboard the free Trolley. Hop on & off as you travel around downtown and take in the activities all the while being entertained by your conductor and carolers.
— Santa & Mrs Claus will read a Night Before Christmas at the Peabody Library in the Teen room on the main floor at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30pm. Little ones will receive a gift of a free small hot cocoa at Breaking Grounds Cafe.
— Enjoy a LIVE Nativitiy performance, complete with petting zoo, at Center Church on Washington Street.
— 1-2pm Family Gingerbread House building, 2-3pm Curious Creatures Show, and 3-4pm Jedi Training hosted by the Peabody Recreation at the Knights of Columbus.
— DJ Jimi Carter will be playing holiday tunes on the courthouse plaza and entertaining the kids with games, dances and prizes.
— Stop by the Peabody Fire Department where Sparky will meet the trolley, tour the firehouse, Jaws of Life demo and get a candy cane.
— Stop in the Arcworks Community Art Center for a make & take craft.
At 4:30pm head on down to City Hall for caroling, tree lighting, cider and donuts, pictures with Santa and goody bag for those on the 'nice' list.
Just added! A Rein-Dog Parade. Dress up your pooch in their best holiday garb. Meet up at the Library courtyard at 3:45 for a procession to the courthouse plaza. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Plus all get free treat and doggie carob cocoa, too, compliments of Lucky Dogs Daycare.
