Experience Open Newbury Street — a car-free day where you can shop, dine, and play all without the worry of automobiles from 10AM-6PM. Enjoy all that Newbury Street has to offer as there will be al-fresco dining, live music, games to play, and interactive shopping exhibits all along the full length of Newbury Street from Arlington Street to Massachusetts Ave! You will not want to miss out on street made completely for people.
The public is encouraged to utilize the several different MBTA routes that service the Back Bay (Arlington, Copley and Hynes on the Green Line and Back Bay on the Orange Line or commuter rail).
Bicycling to the event is encouraged — Rapha is providing free bike valet parking outside of the Rapha Boston Clubhouse at 220 Newbury between Exeter and Fairfield. Hubway will be offering guarenteed docking at their station at Hereford and Newbury Street along with special promotions with partners on the street.
For those who choose to drive to the event, there are several public parking garages on Boylston Street with flat rates on Sundays. Parking enforcement will ticket cars illegally parked in residential spaces elsewhere in the Back Bay.
Don't forget to mark your calendars for the two other Open Newbury Street dates on August 13th and September 10th.
