We are teaming up with Beantown Botanicals for an afternoon of wellness focusing on natural and healthy ways to reduce stress and anxiety in the mind and body. We will discuss how the nervous system and stress response work and how both herbal medicine and exercise can play a role in achieving balance. We will focus on several nervine herbs known for their calming and soothing effects and have the chance to sample these herbs in teas and tinctures. Some of the herbs we'll explore include: chamomile, lavender, lemon balm, hops, passionflower, skullcap and valerian. We will end our afternoon with a yoga class designed to reduce stress and short mediation.
